Mareterra - Montecarlo, Principality of Monaco

Bathroom projects by MOMA Design

In 2021, MOMA Design started to create the bathtubs for the properties of the titanic “Mareterra” project in Monaco, designed by internationally renowned architects Renzo Piano and Denis Valode.

The new complex has a total extension of 6 hectares and is built directly on the sea, but under the banner of eco-sustainability: the space houses multi-story buildings, villas, a new commercial space, a new port, a park and a new public parking lot, as well as artificial reefs to encourage the colonization of the new stretch of coastline by protected marine grasses.

The curved shape of the properties is designed to facilitate the flow of the sea current, and many other features will make Mareterra a true ecological oasis: new trees, bicycle and pedestrian paths, solar panels, electric vehicle charging systems, and automatic irrigation based on humidity and rainfall.

Specifically for this project, MOMA Design designed the OLIVIA freestanding bathtub, which is compact but at the same time functional, thanks to the possibility of installing the faucets on the edge of the bathtub. The other bathtubs in the project, all custom-made to the millimeter, are designed to be clad with natural stone.
