At the launch of its new photo catalog, MOMA Design also presented its new tower washbasins, which feature innovative concepts and extensive customization options.
The tower-type washbasin is characterized by a vertical structure, often floor-mounted, with a floor or wall drain. Compared with traditional washbasins, which are usually installed on a cabinet or suspended, tower washbasins, also called column washbasins or simply freestanding washbasins, are distinguished by their sculptural and space-saving design.
In this article we will discover together the new MOMA Design 2025 models but also the evolution of those which were already in our collections, now enriched with new compositional possibilities.
The iconic Tower Oyster gets dressed in marble
TOWER OYSTER sink is one of the most recognizable in the MOMA Design catalog, featuring a large circular Solid Surface basin and a cylindrical base available in multiple finishes.
The new TOWER OYSTER MARBLE is among the 2025 news, in which the basin can also be made of marble carved from solid stone. The design remains the same unmistakable one, but the preciousness increases.
Also in this version, the faucet can be installed inside the sink, a solution that makes unforgettable the basic operation of handwashing.
Freestanding “stem” washbasins
Remaining on circular and cylindrical shapes, new tower washbasins with gentle but firm lines make their entry into the MOMA Design catalog:
TOWER LONDON features a fluted wood finish that goes all the way up to the top rim of the basin. This tower can be produced with Solid Surface or marble washbasin, with elegant and minimal free-standing central drain. The fluted wood of the base can range from natural oak to Canaletto walnut, via a matte lacquer finish, in colors from our palette. A “gentlemanly” sink, sleek and undoubtedly impactful.
TOWER EDO is the more “assertive” version of the TOWER LONDON model and features a more present basin, available in white Solid Surface or marble. This model can also be made in an openable version, by means of two elegant sliding doors that serve as an elegant and functional space-saving solution, as they remain inscribed in the basin’s footprint. Again, the base finishes range from natural oak to Canaletto walnut, via a matte lacquer finish.
TOWER PARIS is similar to the previous model in concept, but it is available only in a lacquered finish and the special milling of the base accentuates the play of light and shadow that enlivens the sink. Also available in an openable version with a door in this case hinged.

The most innovative new Tower washbasins
TOWER JUMP echoes the TOWER OYSTER model in the base, but features a bowl-shaped basin with straight sides, available in matte white Solid Surface or marble. The base can be smooth and lacquered in matte colors, in wood or in fluted “Asolo” finish.
TOWER OPEN is an ultra-lightweight model featuring a Solid Surface or marble basin supported by a powder-coated aluminum frame. An elegant shelf serves as a discreet base for objects, while fluted wood can contour the upper basin if requested.

A more squared and capacious model
The TOWER PALACE freestanding washbasin, available in two sizes, rests our KEPLERO washbasin on a capacious, square or rectangular opening base, available in natural or lacquered fluted wood. As with the countertop model, this version can accommodate faucets internally if necessary.

Tower washbasins have always represented a versatile product that can transform even a small bathroom into a little oasis of well-being, offering a perfect mix of functionality and aesthetic design. The new tower washbasins presented by MOMA Design are valuable design additions to an already rich collection, which, however, focused almost exclusively on Solid Surface. Currently, our tower washbasins are more akin to small pieces of furniture, which can be “dressed” according to the wishes of the most demanding customers.
